For four centuries since the 1500’s men sailed from Devon to Newfoundland for the lucrative seasonal migration to fish for cod.
Recruited in the local inns they sailed in spring to work throughout the summer months returning home in autumn.
A song of sacrifice, longing and hope; told by those left behind.
